the most consequential action in @vangrid_io's agent workflow might cost $0. not the data query. not posting a USDC bounty. it's accepting the result. vangrid's public MCP implementation exposes seven tools that let agents query spatial data, commission real-world captures and review submissions. here's the interesting part. payment calls have configurable spending limits. but accepting a capture is free and irreversible. it releases escrow and starts 3d reconstruction. those spending limits don't control that decision. this creates a deeper question for physical ai. when software can commission humans to collect ground truth, who decides whether the returned observation is actually good enough? vangrid's own security guidance recommends human approval for irreversible actions. i think that's an important design boundary. automating access to the physical world is powerful. automating trust in what comes back is a completely different challenge.
